Short version
A legal notice is the formal step before a court case — it must be correctly drafted AND correctly served through Dubai Courts Tableegh to count. We handle both steps. Tell us the matter and the other party's details on WhatsApp and we draft, notarize where needed, and coordinate Tableegh delivery.
Types of Legal Notices We Draft and Serve
- Eviction notice (Dubai Law No. 33 of 2008) — 12-month notice for sale/renovation/personal use, 30-day for non-payment
- Debt recovery notice — formally demands payment of an overdue amount before court action
- Contract breach notice — notifies the other party of a specific breach and demands remedy
- POA cancellation notice — formally serves the agent with the revocation after the Notary Deed
- Commercial dispute notice — demand letter before arbitration or commercial court
- Employment notice — formal notice to employer or employee before labour authority filing
Documents we will ask you for

The two-step process
Sending a Legal Notice vs Going to Court — What to Know
A legal notice is not a court filing — it is a formal pre-litigation step. In Dubai, sending a properly drafted and served legal notice before filing a court case serves two purposes: it gives the other party a final chance to resolve the matter voluntarily, and it establishes an official record that you made a legitimate demand before escalating. Courts and dispute centers in the UAE often look favorably on claimants who can show they followed proper pre-litigation procedure. The notice also starts the formal clock on any response or compliance deadline.
What Makes a Legal Notice Legally Effective
- Correct identification of all parties — full legal names as they appear on official ID.
- Clear statement of the specific demand — what is required and within what timeframe.
- Reference to the legal basis — the contract clause, law article, or obligation being invoked.
- Formal delivery through Dubai Courts Tableegh — not WhatsApp or email.
- Official delivery receipt as proof of service — required for any subsequent court filing.

Plain answers to the questions we hear most.
A Legal Notice acts as a powerful deterrent and often prompts the other party to settle out of court to avoid litigation costs. While not a guarantee of payment, it is a mandatory legal foundation if you must eventually file a lawsuit.
The notice will explicitly state a grace period (e.g., 7 or 14 days) for the recipient to comply with your demands. Once this stated timeframe expires without resolution, you are free to file your case in Dubai Courts.
Yes. Arabic is the official language of the UAE courts. To be notarized by the Notary Public and recognized by judges, the legal notice must be drafted in Arabic (or as a bilingual English/Arabic document).
It depends on the notice type and the grace period stated in the notice itself. For eviction notices: the grace period is the notice period (12 months or 30 days). For debt recovery notices: the grace period is typically 7–14 days as stated in the notice. For contract breach notices: the grace period is what the notice specifies — usually 7–30 days to remedy the breach. Once the stated grace period expires without compliance, you can file immediately at the relevant court or authority.
For most legal notices in Dubai (eviction, debt recovery, contract breach): yes — the notice should be notarized by a UAE Notary Public before being submitted to Tableegh for delivery. The notarization authenticates the sender's identity and the document's content, giving it full evidentiary weight in court. An unnotarized notice served through Tableegh may be accepted procedurally — but notarization significantly strengthens its standing if challenged before a judge.
If the other party does not respond or comply within the stated deadline, the notice and its delivery receipt become part of your evidence file. You then have the basis to escalate to the appropriate authority — whether that is the Rental Disputes Center, Dubai Courts, or another body depending on the nature of your matter. Ignoring a properly served legal notice generally strengthens your position as the claimant.
Legal notices in UAE courts and government authorities must be in Arabic to be formally admissible. We draft all notices in Arabic with an English translation provided for your reference. If the other party is a foreign national or company, the Arabic document remains the legally operative version.
